Conflict. Snowy Owl and Common Raven. 20″ x 16″. Acrylic on Pine. 2018.

I was birding down at Tommy Thompson Park when this Snowy Owl flew over me, and landed on a small hill. I followed it to get some really good shots, when this Common Raven flew over out of the blue to harass her. The owl was having no part of it, as the raven would fly up and try to intimidate, but after a while I guess it realized it was not going to win the battle and flew off.
