Nature inspired art
In an attempt to capture a fleeting moment in time, I paint from experience: a brief look at a Blackburnian Warbler high up in a tree, 10 awe inspiring minutes spent with my local buck, a hike through the Rockies that fills my creative cup.
Hello! My name is Kaitlin and I am a wildlife and nature inspired painter living in Toronto. When I’m not sitting behind my easel you’ll find me reading, sculpting (which is a brand new interest for me!) and hiking. I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can as that fuels my creative process. Every painting is inspired by a moment spent exploring.

Hand-framed
I finish each painting in a float frame made of poplar.
It was important for me that each painting is entirely made by me, so I hand-frame each one myself. This includes everything from choosing the wood, to varnishing the final frame.
